I'm preparing a book report about the book "The Firm" by John Grisham. I chose this book because i read it in german and it was greatful so i have to read it in englisch too.
In this posting I would like to give you a little preview what the book is about. I hope you'll get interested and read it. I think it is dead good.
Author:The Author is John Grisham. Born on February 8, 1955 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to a construction worker and a homemaker. When he was a child , he dreamed of being a professional baseball player. Realizing he didn't have the right stuff for a pro career, he shifted gears and majored in accounting at Mississippi State University. After graduating from law school at Ole Miss in 1981, he went on to practice law for nearly a decade in Southaven, specializing in criminal defense and personal injury litigation. In 1983, he was elected to the state House of Representatives and served until 1990.

This Novel tells the story of Mr. Mitch Y. Mc Deere, who received an exceptional offer from a law firm. After the final exam in the university, he worked very hard, regardless of his family.
By and by he doubts, if it was the right decision, to accept the exceptional offer, due to the many secrets of the company. Where does all the tremendous hourly rates come from? Who is accepting those? After hearing about murder, telling that those are only accidents, he was willing to find the reason for it. He is also getting awful details from a FBI agent, which are stressing the company tremendously. He declares also, that the company is practicing money-laundering with the Mafia, which is troubling him very much. Now a very hard conflict is starting between Mc Deere and the Mafia.
